MEMPHIS, Tennessee - Oct. 3, 2018 - Bass Pro Shops at the Memphis Pyramid will host Flocktoberfest, an annual hunting expo and sale, starting Friday, Oct. 5, and featuring duck calling contests scheduled for Oct. 13.

"The annual Flocktoberfest is just one of the ways Bass Pro Shops Founder Johnny Morris and his associates continue to spread the word about Ducks Unlimited and support our conservation mission," said DU CEO Dale Hall. "Come to Flocktoberfest at the Bass Pro Shops at the Memphis Pyramid, celebrate conservation with us and check out the Ducks Unlimited Waterfowling Heritage Center and the duck calling contests on Oct. 13."

The fourth annual Big Cypress National Calling Championship, the Ducks Unlimited Regional Qualifier Contest, junior and intermediate calling contests and an open duck calling contest will be held Saturday, Oct. 13.

Justin Martin from Duck Commander will appear Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The annual extravaganza includes free hunting seminars from industry pros including Chuck Belmore and Jon Justice, co-hosts of the television show "The Habit,&dquo; Habitat Flats owner and expert waterfowler Tony Vandemore, world champion duck caller Logan Hancock, and others.

County music star Chris Janson will perform a concert open to the public on Friday, Oct. 12, at 6 p.m.

Other Flocktoberfest events include the Super Retriever Series, featuring jumps by some of the top sporting dogs in the country, the world Moon Pie eating championship, free activities for the kids and more.
