Friday, April 3, 2009 will mark the kickoff of the Tennessee Ducks Unlimited State Convention.
The convention will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Chattanooga. The Friday night event will be a memorable kickoff party held "under the stars".
Chairman Bob Foster says, "We have secured the roof of a building next door to the convention headquarters for our Friday night party. The dinner will feature wild game sticks as prepared by Grillin' Thyme Catering. We will also have standard fare for those who are not feeling "wild."
Foster said however, the most exciting part of the evening is the entertainment. Davey Smith has agreed to come and play for us "as long as we can stand him".
Davey is a hometown boy who works in Nashville as a singer/songwriter. I encourage you to visit his website at http://www.daveycountry.com/index.php. He has taken time out of his busy schedule to come back home and help out DU put on a huge party for the ducks!!
Here is a brief schedule of opening events:
