Ducks Unlimited, Saginaw Bay WIN and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program wrapped up a five-year program to restore wetlands and native grasslands to function as outdoor educational classrooms in the Saginaw Bay watershed.  Nine projects were completed that restored 35 acres on land owned by Chippewa Nature Center, Saginaw Children's Zoo, Lost Lake Boy Scouts Camp, Garfield Township Parks and several schools in the Saginaw Bay area.  Each landowner was given an educational trunk filled with equipment that will allow them to introduce generations of school children to the wonders and values of wetlands and other wildlife habitats.

School-aged children in the Saginaw Bay watershed will have more opportunities to study wetlands and grasslands thanks to the work of DU, USFWS, and Saginaw Bay WIN.
