The House Interior Appropriations Subcommittee recommended a record increase to the North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA)—$52 million for the 2010 fiscal year, which is a $10 million increase. DU members and supporters were integral to this success, sending e-mails and making phone calls to their representatives and senators urging them to support the highest funding possible for NAWCA.
