GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Nov. 12, 2010 - Ducks Unlimited staff and volunteers express condolences and support for the family of Pennsylvania Game Commission Wildlife Conservation Officer David L. Grove. WCO Grove was killed in the line of duty on the evening of Nov. 11.

"Our prayers are with WCO Grove's family today," said Dale Hall, CEO of Ducks Unlimited. "This incident is a terrible reminder that conservation officers perform a serious law enforcement function in our communities. We owe them our deep gratitude for keeping our natural resources safe."

WCO Grove was investigating a report of ongoing night shooting and possible poaching when he was shot and killed. Authorities have detained a person of interest at the time of this release, though the investigation is ongoing.
