breeding grounds, migration habitat and wintering habitat in the Mississippi Alluvial Valley. Dwight Jones, Mississippi DU Volunteer, District Chairman and auctioneer for many DU events participated as a co-presenter, encouraged to the children about becoming Greenwing members, and held a mock auction to demonstrate how DU field operations raise money to support our conservation work across the continent. Each child was given a DU Greenwing decal, membership application, Puddler magazine and waterfowl ID poster.
“Bob and Dwight were absolutely superb in their presentation of the work and explanation of what DU is all about,” said Miss. State Chairman Guy Ray. “I believe that education of Ducks Unlimited’s conservation efforts begins right here at an early age, and that we planted the seed of knowledge in many today. Several of the 5th graders made the statement that ours was the best display!”
