FERGUS FALLS, Minn. March. 5, 2009 - The 12th Annual Waterfowl Symposium will be held April 17-19 at the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service Prairie Wetland Learning Center in Fergus Falls, Minn. The theme of the symposium is “Collaboration and Conservation.”
Leading waterfowl and wetland experts from Minnesota and neighboring states will present on issues facing conservation and management of waterfowl habitats. The program will emphasize habitat protection, restoration and enhancement and address the new funding source now available through passage of the Outdoor Heritage Legislation.
Registration fee is $50, which includes fees for the field trip on Saturday to visit local wetland restoration projects and shallow lakes. Attendance is limited to 125 persons, so it is important to register early. Registration deadline is April 3.
