So I am going to be hunting a lot out of a boat blind this year and I was looking at some of the dog ramps/ladders that attach to them. I want to start training my lab on it now so I want to get it now and get him tuned in for the season. Any suggestions on them? They very greatly in style and wanted to know what you all think of yours. Thanks

Make 'em dead!

A lot of it depends on your boat and what fits the boat.  I've tried a number of them over the years, both manufactured and ones I built myself.  Never had any problems with a dog becoming accustomed to any of them with a little practice and training.  That being said, for my current boat I like the Cabela's Northern Flight Ladder better than anything I've used in the past.  I just got my second one last week after my first finally rusted thru and broke while doing a little training/fishing on the river last month.

I will second that opinion on the Cabelas Northern Flight dog ladder. I've had mine for 5 years now and it's still going strong.

I especially like how it folds back up onto the boat for transportation.

I did have to modify the clamps to fit over my boats gunwales. But other than that no complaints.

Here you go for the guy on a budget.

Just kidding it's just for training.  I have been looking to.  All of the one's I have seen are built really cheap or just bulky.  I'm going to a welding shot and just get some square tubing and use 100 lb leaders.  I figure that new no skid paneling they're using in boats would work well. Kinda like this one here
