I heard that Benelli released a "Super Vinci" to the public the other day that has a 3.5" chamber. Is there any truth to this or was someone just pulling my leg... if it is true has anyone picked one up already?

I suppose I should've started by going to Benelli's website. Now that I know it does exist has anyone had a chance to shoot one?

I have not shot one but I held one the other day, looked good to me. I am a big vinci fan, but I already have two plus a SBEII so I probably don't have a real good reason to buy it.

I checked out one of the 3" models and it was hard for me and the dealer to hold on to it to brake it down and put it back together to tight for one person

Both of mine were tight and sticky for a little bit but they loosened real quick and are now very easy to break down and put back together

I have a Vinci, the company states that putting together the gun and taking the gun apart for the first few times it will be very tight. They state that it will get easier which it has. To me, I find it very easy to clean and assemble. I question whether I made the right choice going 3" verse 3 1/2" but I really like the gun.
I have a Versa Max that I really like shooting the 3 1/2 shell's throught; so I guess I am OK I have the best of both worlds.

I'm getting one. For geese the 3 1/2" shell helps for those longer shots and take down power. For ducks i guess you could go either way. I hunt quite a bit in 10 to below zero weather and found the benelli is the way to go. It's inertia driven so its uses the power of the gun to reload the shell. I've used some gas powered shotguns in that cold of weather and they seem to jam or slow down when it gets that cold. Stoeger also just came out with a new gun that shoots a 3 1/2" shell and they are made by benelli so they are inertia driven too and it's about 600 bucks instead of 1600.
