Ok so for those of us that switch between a 12 and a 20 depending on what kind of duck we are hunting (teal 20 mallards 12) dont bring 20 ga shells for your 12 ga gun...For those of us...mostly me who are retards always keep an extra box or two of both kinds in your truck:w00t: Dont act like you havent done it or know someone who has

I can honestly say i've never done it because the only shotguns in my house are all 12's. But I did watch a guy out at the range drop a 20ga shell down through the barrel of a 12, it was kind of funny.

My wife and I went shooting clays with her brother ,and his girlfriend. I need shells for my 12 so i made a quick stop to get some shells. In my haste ended up grabbing shells for her 20. I did not notice until we got out to the range and opened the bag and all I had was 20s.

Any body want a box of 20 Ga. #4's steel? I also hunt rabbit around waterfowl area and "no lead allowed" I rushed into Sportsmans warehouse on my way out to the rabbits, when I got there I couldn't shoot them, I've only got 12Ga. shotguns.

You have to watch shell length too. Make sure if you plan on using 3" or 3.5" shells you don't use a gun that is chambered for 2&3/4" shells. :w00t:

This almost happened to me last year. I bought a box of 3.5" shells but thought I had grabbed 3". I noticed it before I tried loading though and just sold them to a friend.

I've heard a horror story of a safety instructor handing a 20 gauge shell to a student with a 12 gauge..... luckily the student caught it in time.
The only reason i haven't done this yet is because my 20 gauge is a slug gun and the slugs are 18 bucks for 5 shells
