So can anyone tell me if they have had their barrel damaged by this shot? It says under the flap on the box "may cause barrel damage?" I shoot a Weatherby PA-08

I guess the first question would be, " is it even worth buying and running the risk?" Definitely not....for me at least. I personally love Federal Speed Shoks, but have been very unimpressed with the ballistics of the Blackclouds, especially considering the much steeper price tag.

My guess is they are referring to older guns due to the hardness of all brands of modern steel shot.

For many years now my 3 man hunting party has shot a case or more per person of Black Cloud every season. Never have had any problems with barrel damage and we love how it drops waterfowl. I has extended the distance we can effectively kill birds at and vastly lowered our number of cripples. We shoot only modern firearms designed for 3 1/2" loads with Black Cloud choke tubes or factory Mod. / I.C. chokes.
