I'm making a trip from VA to SD in Novemeber for a pheasant and waterfowl hunt. I would love to take my 2 1/2 year old Lab and I've begun researching airline travel with dogs. I have heard or read a few good stories, but probably more horror stories. It's a great opportunity - she would get more action on this trip than she will in several seasons in VA, but I'm not comfortable with the idea of just turning her over to the airlines. I would appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks.
