I am on the Saline County Missouri Ducks Unlimited Chapter and am working on donation request that I have sent to Pepsi. They have asked for a copy of a letter from the IRS that shows that Ducks Unlimited is a 501(c)3 organization and lists the Federal ID. I have provided them with copies of the a summary of the tax status of Ducks Unlimited and even found copies of letters from the IRS dating back to 11/29/1938, 7/1/1965, 2/24/1978 and 1/23/1985, however, none of these had every thing they were asking for in one letter. One of letter dated 2/24/1978 was close but did not have the federal id listed on the top right hand side.

The lady I am working with from Pepsi told me that Dale Yelton from the Sedalia, Missouri Chapter was able to find a copy of the letter she needs. Does anyone know where I can find the letter she is needing or know someone with the Sedalia, MO Chapter to get a copy of the letter that they provided?

Each committee has its own Tax ID number... Get with your RD and he can provide that to you. Summary below, hope this helps.

DU's federal taxpayer ID number is 13-5643799. Each of its state and local committees is chartered as a chapter of DU with its own federal taxpayer ID number and is exempt from federal income tax under the provisions of section 501(c)(3) through DU's group exemption (group exemption # 9352).
