beaver runs suck! i have been wet a few times from walking across beaver floodings in the dark to fast. i have to admit it is funny when someone else goes down in one.

I learned that when I was about 19 and trapping beavers. Its rill fun when you are setting traps in the runs around the lodge and you slip into one and your nose is touching the water.

i was trapping beavers last year with a buddy. he walked over a beaver run on the ice and went through. he went under and theonly thing i could se was his hat floating. i chit you not he came back up with his hat on. it was hilarious. but then he was complaining about being cold and made me pack up early.

Beaver runs are a great reason to put out snares or conibears. Get em!

Yeah I found out how bad they suck when I was in AR this year...First day at 730...neck deep...and we were there till about 1030. Word of advice...have a long walking stick..

lol at least you were walking to get a greenhead and not just walking!

my buddy tripped into a beaver run yesterday morning when it was like 22 degrees, and since we were on the river and it was the last day of season he just had to live with it until 12!
