Georgia Places 6 Chapters on Top 100 List
Georgia is very well represented in the recently released President’s Top 100 DU Chapter List. Six Georgia chapters made the 2006 list, up from the 2005 list.
Georgia ranks #5 in the nation for most Top 100 chapters;
2 College Chapters ranked among top 10 college chapters
The President’s Top 100 is calculated by adding chapter fundraising totals from all events over the calendar year. For equality purposes no membership gift payments higher than the Life Sponsor level are counted in the President’s Top 100 calculations.
The Georgia chapters on the 2006 list are:
Chip Allen Chapter
Gwinnett County Chapter
Carroll County Chapter
Walton County Chapter
Vidalia-Four Rivers Chapter
Atlanta represented Georgia as the second biggest fundraising chapter in the nation in 2006 with $346,000 raised. Only Seattle raised more funds than Atlantalast calendar year.
“Another great year for Georgia in the President’s Top 100”, said Dave Dohner, Director of Fundraising & Volunteer Relations. “Overall, Georgia had a fantastic year in 2006 and grew grassroots fundraising totals by more than $170,000, or 10.1%. That was the third straight year of double-digit percentage growth in Georgia."
In addition, DU HQ published the first-ever list of Top 16 college chapters. Georgia was WELL represented with two of the top sixteen college chapters in the nation:

Congratulations also goes to the ABAC/Tifton-UGA Chapter that set the pace by earning the #10 spot!
