Ducks Unlimited (DU) continues to embrace new conservation partners in its mission of wetlands and waterfowl conservation. DU partnered with Fort Custer Training Center Environmental, the Michigan Army National Guard, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service – Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program, and Potawatomi RC&D Council to restore approximately 45 acres of drained emergent and scrub-shrub wetlands at the Fort Custer Training Center in Calhoun County. DU provided the topographic survey and engineering design for this project that included the installation of a water control structure and the improvement of an existing levee.
