DU is planning a unique major donor event to be held in the Rainwater Basin this spring. Patterned after similar events held in the prairie pothole region, this event is targeted to major donor prospects and key volunteers who are interested in learning more about the Rainwater Basin and DU’s habitat goals for this important region. The “Experience” will be intense, a full two days of both classroom and field activities. Topics covered will include waterfowl habitat needs in the Rainwater Basin, wetland restoration practices, habitat management options, and the tie between the Rainwater Basin and waterfowl breeding success in the prairie pothole region. This event will be the first of its kind in Nebraska and we hope will be continued in future years.
This first event will be held the weekend of March 6th and 7th.
