Well over a hundred hardcore Ducks Unlimited Volunteers from across East Tennessee showed up for the Feb. 28th celebration aboard the Volunteer Princess in Knoxville.

The lousy weather was no deterrent on the plush cruise ship.

It was Ducks Unlimited's way of saying "Thank you" for the commitment and hard work of its volunteers.

DU's East Tennessee Regional Director Charlie Lowery rounded up several great door prizes, and of course the ever-present Silent Auction was great fun for all those who just can't ever get enough DU paraphenalia on their shelves, walls and desks.

The youngsters, like Lowery's daughter Carly, even got the chance to pilot the Volunteer Princess during the 2-hour cruise down the Tennessee River.

Everyone got a quick update on DU’s conservation success in the last year and several East Tennessee chapters were recognized for their contributions. Tennessee State Chairman Bob Foster was there inspire folks for a great statewide conference to be held in Chattanooga April 3 -5.

Middle Tennessee and West Tennessee Volunteers get their pat on the back during more Volunteer Appreciation Days on March 7.
