Get ready, DU-TV fans, for another season of hunting across North America. Join Wade Bourne, Jared Brown and Mike Checkett for 13 new episodes chock full of in-your-face waterfowl hunting and conservation.
Wade and his son Hampton kick off the season in Alberta hunting waterfowl with their old friend Sean Mann. The trio teams up for some exciting duck and goose shoots, offering a glimpse of Alberta wing shooting at its finest.
"This first show is an exciting one for Wade and Hampton because it's really a reunion," said Mike Checkett, DU communication specialist and cohost for DU-TV. "Wade and his son went up to Alberta to hunt in 2003 when Hampton was pretty young. It's great to see how our own host has passed on his waterfowl-hunting heritage."
The following week, Jared Brown visit friend and former DU-TV host Marc Pierce in Montana, a wetland paradise for migrating waterfowl. While Montana is generally thought of as a big-game state, Jared and Marc show how Montana doubles as a habitat- and mallard-rich environment.
From there, Mike and Wade travel to Canada to continue their freelance hunts on Saskatchewan's duck-filled fields and wetlands. The two find themselves once again in a waterfowl hunter's paradise. While freelancing, the pair provides insight on central Saskatchewan's crucial breeding habitat and the conservation being done in the region.
These are just a few of the feather-filled adventures viewers can look forward to this season on DU-TV. This season will explore the importance of restoring, enhancing and protecting our natural wetlands, while providing waterfowling tips and tactics, tips from calling legends and dog-training tips every canine owner will appreciate.
"DU-TV has seen an excellent transition this year that I think our supporters and all waterfowl hunters will relate to," said Checkett. "We have calling tips from experts everyone will recognize—Richenback, Stephens, Ronquest, Haydel, Primos, Dunn and Zink. We also have dog tips from Mike Stewart, Justin Tackett, Chris Akin and Scott Greer."
With nonstop action, expert advice and a steady dose of conservation, DU-TV once again will bring you to the duck blind and beyond. And it all begins July 2 at 11:30 p.m. EST, on the Outdoor Channel.
"We've got great hunts lined up this year," said Checkett. "Get the dog, grab your camouflage DU hat and make a thermos of your favorite 'duck blind' coffee, because if these shows don't make you ready for waterfowl season, nothing will."
