GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., March 17, 2011 –
Ducks Unlimited is sponsoring the 4th Annual Great Lakes Duck and Goose Calling Competition at the Ultimate Sport Show at Devos Place in Grand Rapids, Mich., this Saturday, March 19. Competition begins with the youth duck and goose contests at 1 p.m.
Competitors compete for cash, prizes and bragging rights on both duck and goose calling skills. With multiple heats and multiple areas of competition, this event is for waterfowl hunters of all skill levels, from junior to professional.
The schedule is as follows:
- Youth (12 and under) duck and goose – 1 p.m.
- Amateur Goose – 2 p.m.
- Amateur Duck – 3 p.m.
- Open Goose – 4 p.m.
Great Lakes Open Goose is open to all callers. Check-in is at noon with a $50 entry fee. Prize money will be awarded for first place ($800), second place ($250) and third place ($100).
