About the Hosts
Field Hudnall went on his first duck hunt when he was 8 years old. He has been hooked ever since. Field is not only a designer and builder of hunting calls, he is also one of best callers in the world. He is the only caller ever to win a world goose calling title and a world duck calling title in the same night, and is the only caller ever to win the prestigious International Goose Calling Championship back to back.
"Having grown up watching Ducks Unlimited Television and supporting Ducks Unlimited, I could not be more proud to be a part of this show," said Field. "I am proud to be supporting Ducks Unlimited and their mission to conserve wetlands and waterfowl across North America. After traveling all over the US and Canada, and having the opportunity to see the work that DU is doing, I am confident there is no better way to ensure the future of our waterfowling heritage than to support DU."
Wade has long been familiar to Ducks Unlimited members and sportsmen across the continent. Bourne is Editor-At-Large for DU Magazine and contributes features and columns to each issue. He has been involved with DU TV since 2004, sharing his waterfowl exploits and expertise with viewers throughout North America. He has authored six books, including Ducks Unlimited Guide to Decoys and How to Use Them and Ducks Unlimited Guide to Hunting Dabblers. As a lifelong outdoor writer and broadcaster, he has covered waterfowl and conservation issues for 35 years. He also has been "eaten-up" with duck and goose hunting for over 50 years.
Bourne says, "I'm excited to be a part of the new ‘Dream Team' for DU TV. Field Hudnall and Zach Pederson bring a combination of hunting know-how and energy to keep the show's pace moving. My step may be a little slower, but my enthusiasm for hunting and waterfowl conservation will keep pace with these younger guys. Plus, add in Ainsley Beeman's hosting skills, and I'm confident we have a winning combination."
Bourne adds, "Working for and representing Ducks Unlimited has been the highlight of my professional career. The mission, the people, the places, the adventures: they combine to be a waterfowler's dream job. I look forward to continuing to share the joy of the outdoors and the huge importance of DU's mission through my work on DU TV."
Zach's passion for waterfowl hunting started 20 years ago in a cattail-lined pothole on a cold Nebraska morning. From that point on, he has been a student of the art of waterfowl hunting and has become dedicated to conservation and doing his part to protect the heritage of the sport. In addition to hunting, Zach has a deep passion for filming wildlife and will be playing a role in field production of the show.
"I will always be a die-hard hunter and want to shoot a limit as much as the next person, but going forward I am most excited to be in a position to increase interest in waterfowl hunting and introduce more kids to the sport. Young men and women are the future of hunting, and I am very dedicated to helping them have the chance to learn about the outdoors. I am both proud and honored to be a host of DUTV. Just like thousands of other kids, I grew up watching DU TV each week with my dad; the fact that I am now able to be a part of the show is a humbling and exciting feeling."
Ainsley is no stranger to duck blinds. From pit blinds in the rice fields to big fancy floaters on scenic cypress-filled lakes of Northeast Louisiana, Ainsley grew up watching her dad and his buddies pursue their passion for waterfowl. Once she was old enough to handle her youth model 20 gauge, she took her place on the shooting bench as more than a youthful observer. Always intrigued and fascinated by a bird on the wing, waterfowl hunting was a natural transition for Ainsley in her love for the outdoors. Ainsley quickly grew to appreciate the fellowship found in like-minded individuals spending time marveling over waterfowl and what it takes to hunt them effectively, all the while conservatively managing one of nature's most fragile resources. It's no wonder that Ainsley is a staunch advocate of introducing a child to the world of waterfowling at an early age. Obviously, it's helped mold her into the young woman she is today.
"As a little girl I can remember sitting on my grandfather's lap flipping through his DU magazines. I love the challenge of trying to identify the same birds I saw on the page now in sky. I seldom turned down a chance to participate in anything pertaining to waterfowling. Each hunt produces lessons learned and a greater love for the good Lord's creation. I have made many fond memories sitting in a duck blind among friends and family. DU's passion for conservation has played a part in making those memories possible, which is why I am so honored to be representing the iconic Ducks Unlimited as one of the new hosts for DU TV."
