Settlement of recent litigation in which DU was not involved has resulted in funding and a major partnership opportunity to restore wildlife habitat, such as wetlands and riparian areas to the San Joaquin River in California ’s Central Valley . By working with private landowners, government agencies, and community organizations, the San Joaquin River Partnership seeks the implementation of the San Joaquin River Restoration Settlement Program, including the restoration of wetlands habitat. DU will play a key role in assuring wetlands habitat restoration in this project.
