Imagine creating your own 40 acre wildlife preserve. In essence, that's exactly what you can do by becoming a life sponsor with Ducks Unlimited. And now, thanks to DU's cumulative giving program, becoming a life sponsor is easier than ever.
A Life Sponsor is a $10,000 commitment to Ducks Unlimited, payable over 5 years. At an average cost of $250 to conserve one acre of habitat (thanks to DU's leveraging and matching programs), that means that a Life Sponsor is responsible for conserving 40 acres of habitat through DU.
Many DU supporters and volunteers have long-been sponsors of the organization. Now, with DU's cumulative giving program, those past-giving totals can be applied to your Life Sponsorship pledge. For example, if you've been a DU Sponsor for 20 years, your total cumulative giving would be $5000 (20 x $250). That means a pledge of the remaining $5000 ($10,000-$5,000) is all it would take for you to become a life sponsor. And the pledge is still payable over 5 years!
If you're interested in becoming a life sponsor, or if you'd like to learn more about your cumulative giving, please contact State Life Sponsor Chairman Rick Baumann at 843-457-8126. Join the major donor ranks! You, too, can be personally responsible for 40 acres of conservation...
