Little Rock, August 16, 2007 - Arkansas Ducks Unlimited honored Arkansas County Wildlife Enforcement Officer First Class Matt Guthrie for being selected Mississippi Flyway Council Waterfowl Enforcement Officer of the Year for 2006. He was also selected as Arkansas Waterfowl Enforcement Officer of the Year for the 2006 – 2007 season to be eligible for the flyway award.

Arkansas DU State Chairman Mark Turner, El Dorado, AR, presented Officer Guthrie with a special framed edition of the 2007 Arkansas Sponsor print by Larry Chandler and a Conservation Service Award certificate. “Ducks Unlimited is proud to recognize Officer Guthrie for his dedication to the resource and his efforts in youth education and youth related activities, including our annual Greenwing camp” Tuner said, “we also recognize and commend all of the Arkansas enforcement officers for the great job they all do”

Officer Guthrie, a five year veteran of the AGFC, lives in DeWitt and is assigned to Arkansas County.
