MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Feb. 19, 2013 – American Luxury Coach (ALC) and Ducks Unlimited (DU) recently introduced a series of customized vehicles designed for the outdoor enthusiast. Using standard 2013 General Motors trucks and sport-utility vehicles, ALC modified and enhanced the vehicles to incorporate the DU signature logo and additional luxury features.
"The idea for the project with American Luxury Coach stemmed from a desire to offer a very passionate group of individuals a means to travel to their destinations in style, while also reflecting a piece of their personality and passion for the outdoors," said Jim Alexander, director of corporate relations for Ducks Unlimited.
As one of the largest custom builders of General Motors vehicles, American Luxury Coach manufactures custom trucks and SUVs. Materials to outfit the vehicles were carefully selected and partners were chosen to match the quality and excellence of the DU brand.
"We want to ensure high levels of quality and security — that’s why we selected Michelin and BFGoodrich tires for our DU trucks," said Joseph Jebaily, president and CEO of American Luxury Coach. "Michelin and BFGoodrich tires are known worldwide and recognized for their technological innovations and commitments to safety and quality."
The Ducks Unlimited vehicles feature exterior paint from Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes. In addition, Fabtech, a leader and innovator in suspension design and manufacturing for off-road enthusiasts, is providing the conversion lift kits for the vehicles.
Sales of special-edition DU vehicles will benefit the conservation of wetlands and natural habitats. All vehicles will be built in Florence, S.C., and will reflect the integrity and hard work that has been ingrained in the ALC mission since its founding in 1972.
The vehicles will be available for purchase from local GM and Chevrolet dealers. Visit www.americanluxurycoach.com, www.ducks.org or call American Luxury Coach at (888) 665-282 for more information.
