Ducks Unlimited is partnering with the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife, the Nature Conservancy, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and New Jersey Natural Lands Trust to restore 76 acres of wetland habitat on the Paulinskill River Wildlife Management Area outside Newton, New Jersey. Restoration work will be funded by a recently awarded $67,000 North American Wetlands Conservation Act grant as well as $160,000 in matching funds from DU's Completing the Cycle Initiative and partner contributions.

This important project will provide vital resources for migrating waterfowl and other wetland-dependent wildlife by restoring levees, installing water-control structures, and controlling invasive narrow-leaf cattails. Future water-management efforts, including water-level manipulation and invasive plant control, will be scheduled based on ongoing habitat analysis of the site.
