Ducks Unlimited has worked with a variety of conservation partners since the mid-1990s to conserve more than 20,000 acres of wetland and associated habitats in the Saginaw Bay watershed. DU’s conservation work in this important area received a big boost in late 2006, when the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation and The Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation announced gifts to DU of $500,000 and $150,000 respectively, to fund conservation efforts over the next five years. These foundations have supported DU in the past and continue to be instrumental in the success of DU’s Saginaw Bay program.
