In July 2006, Ducks Unlimited received the largest private donation in Michigan DU history! The anonymous donor, a long-time supporter of DU, avid hunter, fly fisherman, and conservationist, pledged $1 million in support of DU’s conservation work in west Michigan. DU will leverage this gift against funds from conservation partners, foundations, and public grants to conserve key wetland and grassland habitat, primarily in the Southeast Lake Michigan Watershed priority area.
