DU partnered with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service—Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program to restore wetland and grassland habitat on land owned by Ridgepoint Church in Ottawa County and Ada Township in Kent County. Combined, these projects resulted in the restoration of 23 wetland acres and 45 grassland acres that will provide quality production habitat for ducks and other wildlife.
Other partners include Michigan Duck Hunters Association—Macatawa Bay Chapter, West Michigan Wetlands Foundation, Macatawa Greenways Initiative, and Pheasants Forever.
