What's our role?
A significant part of our role within DU is to raise the grassroots money that is needed to provide for on-the-ground conservation. Typically the money we raise through the fundraising event system is leveraged manyfold by using matching grants and federal dollars.
FUNdRaisers
The St. Mary’s County “Top 100” Chapter coordinates 2 FUNdraisers a year, including:
A Greenwing Youth Outdoor Day and a Dinner/Auction. You will often find St Mary’s committee members who work hard together for conservation also play hard together too. We are avid sportsmen (and women), and we enjoy hunting, shooting clays, fishing, and golfing.

We meet for our Greenwing planning starting in April at Bear Creek Bar-B-Que in Callaway and for our Dinner/Auction beginning in August at Olde Town Pub in Leonardtown. To get involved (all are welcomed) contact Tommy Bowes at (301) 994-0606 or bowestn@verizon.net.
