The Central MD Chapter of Ducks Unlimited has been working for 32 years to help protect wetlands in Maryland and throughout the US. Our committee is comprised of persons with varied interests and careers; who all believe in conservation and having fun with like minded individuals. Over the last decade, Central Maryland has been fortunate to be recognized as a top 100 DU Chapter in the US. Central Maryland holds meetings on scheduled Wednesday’s at Carney Rod and Gun Club (http://carneyrodandgunclub.com). If you live in Baltimore County, Baltimore City, or Harford County, and want to have fun while raising money for conservation, Central MD DU is for you.
During the course of the year Central MD DU hosts 6 FUNdraisers a year, to help support DU’s conservation message: Ladies Basket and Handbag Bingo, Greenwing Youth Day, Beer and Wine Tasting, Trap Shoot at Carney Rod and Gun, Sponsor Shoot, and our annual dinner and fundraiser.
Central MD committee members are not only active in DU on the committee level, but also on the statewide level with committee members having served as DU state chairman, state treasurer, zone and area chairman, and editor of the state newsletter(the Sinkbox).
