Purpose: To restore 33 acres of moist-soil wetlands on Taylorsville Lake WMA through construction of 3,800 linear feet of levees and installation of several small water control structures. In addition, DU MARSH funds were used to purchase a portable pump to seasonally flood moist-soil wetlands. The impoundments will benefit a variety of waterfowl by providing shallow water habitat. This project is managed by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources to provide quality wintering habitat for waterfowl.

Location: The project is located in Spencer County approximately 2 miles east of Taylorsville, KY.
