Purpose: To create two 18-acre moist-soil impoundments on Cumberland Lake WMA through construction of levees and installation of several water control structures. In addition, a portable pump was purchased to provide a dependable source of water during dry periods. The Wesley Bend project will serve as a refuge for migrating and wintering waterfowl. Heaviest waterfowl use occurs during late winter. The area is managed by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources to provide quality wintering habitat for waterfowl.

Location: The project is located on Cumberland Lake WMA in Pulaski County approximately 10 miles northwest of Somerset, KY.
