I haven't updated my mobile app yet but want to access the online Journal. Should I update my app first?

Absolutely! This will take care of many possible issues automatically. An online My DU account will be created for you with the same email login and password as your mobile app. All you'll need to do now is add your Ducks Unlimited member ID to the My DU account and you'll be up and running online.

I tried to update my password online but I still can't log in on my mobile device?

There are two possible reasons for this issue.

  1. Your My DU account and mobile Journal accounts are not yet linked. If you haven't updated your mobile app to the latest version, doing so should fix your problem. 

    If you have already updated your mobile app and are still having problems, contact webmaster@ducks.org describing this issue. Provide both your My DU and Journal email addresses, contact information (for verification purposes), and which email address you want to use in the future for both My DU and Journal accounts. Once your accounts are linked, you'll be able to login and reset your password successfully.

  2. We have recently discovered an issue with authentication of encrypted passwords which contain capital letters from our mobile accounts. Passwords without capital letters are able to successfully authenticate and log in to the mobile apps. Your account security is a priority to Ducks Unlimited and we are diligently working on a resolution to this issue which will be released to the app stores in the next few weeks.

    As a temporary work around, you can click here to reset your password to one that does not contain capital letters.

    We are sorry for any inconvenience and will have a fix for this bug in the app stores as soon as possible.

I can't remember the email or password I used when creating my Journal account. What do I do?

You'll need to contact webmaster@ducks.org describing this issue. Provide all possible email addresses you might have used when creating the account, contact information (for verification purposes), and which email address you want to use in the future for the account(s). A DU representative will contact you once your account has been updated and guide you through the update process.

My email account for My DU is different from my Journal login email. What do I do?

You'll need to contact webmaster@ducks.org describing this issue. Provide both your My DU and Journal email addresses, contact information (for verification purposes), and which email address you want to use in the future for both the accounts. Once your accounts are linked, you'll be able to login and reset your password successfully.

I am viewing the online journal but I can't see my logs from last year. Were they deleted?

No. Ducks Unlimited will never delete Journal entries or seasons unless specifically requested by the user. It's likely that your My DU email login doesn't match your Journal email login and we will have to manually consolidate the two accounts. You'll need to contact webmaster@ducks.org describing this issue. Provide both your My DU and Journal email addresses, contact information (for verification purposes), and which email address you want to use in the future for both My DU and Journal accounts. Once your accounts are linked, you'll be able to see logs from the previous season(s).

I purchased the Journal mobile app for my smart phone, why can't I access the online version?
