Ducks Unlimited is proud to announce a new way to honor the memory of a loved one and celebrate those who make a difference in our lives. The DU Memorial and Tribute Giving program allows you to create personalized web pages for these individuals and raise funds for wetland conservation in their name.
How it Works
To get started, you'll need to make sure you have a My DU account. Don't have an account? Click here to create one for free. You do not need to be a DU member in order to create a memorial or tribute page. Once you're logged in to My DU, click the link called "Create a Memorial or Tribute". You can also click this link to get started right now!
Phone or Mail a Memorial Gift
If you would like to make a memorial gift over the phone please call us at 901.758.3986. Please click here if you would like to download a DU Memorial Gift form and mail a gift. You will be mailed an acknowledgement and if you would like, you can designate a person to receive a memorial card that you have made a gift.
Create & Manage Your Page
To create your page, follow the simple steps on the setup form. You can enter information about the person including their background and accomplishments, as well as upload relevant photos and videos. You can also select a DU chapter to receive credit for donations raised on their behalf. Once you complete the setup, your page will be ready to share with friends and family. You will receive a personalized URL as well as a QR code that you can email, post to Facebook or even print in local newspapers or obituaries.
After you create a page, you can edit the content at any time from your My DU homepage under the section called Tributes and Memorials. Once you save changes, they will be immediately reflected on your tribute or memorial page.
How Donations Work
When a person visits your page, they will have the option to make a gift to Ducks Unlimited in honor or memorial of your friend or family member. Once the donation is made, the donor will receive a confirmation email thanking them for the donation and their name will be recognized on the webpage. The amount of your tax-deductible donation is confidential. In addition, the person who created the page will receive an email, as well as a designated family member if one was provided.
