The Ducks Unlimited Varsity program began in 2005 at Broughton High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. Through the past eight years, the number of active Varsity chapters in the United States has increased steadily. In 2012, 20 chapters were responsible for raising more than $155,000 and the forecast for 2013 project a similar performance.

Today, Varsity chapters are playing an increasingly important role in Ducks Unlimited's conservation mission. DU recognizes that a vibrant and strong high school program is the key to a healthy future for wetlands conservation, and a strong emphasis will continue to be placed on the development of what has been a very successful program.

Varsity volunteers get involved for a variety of reasons including:
  • Social Functions
  • School Pride
  • DU Merchandise
  • College Resumé Building
  • Networking Opportunities
  • Leadership Development
Regardless of what brings you to Ducks Unlimited, the potential for growth and cultivation of a chapter and yourself is truly 'unlimited' and DU invites you to join in any capacity that you please.

For additional information concerning the DU Varsity program, please contact Ducks Unlimited Youth & Education Coordinator: Mark Horobetz at (901) 758-3892 or mhorobetz@ducks.org.
