- What is Duck Fever all about?
Duck Fever is a new personalized online fund-raising program that allows Ducks Unlimited members to raise money for DU—and the ducks! You set a fund-raising goal; share with your friends, family and other online contacts why you're passionate about DU; choose an attractive badge to represent your campaign online and start earning money for DU's conservation mission. It's a great way to spread the word, and the Duck Fever badges are an attractive Ducks Unlimited addition to your personal Web space! Interested in taking part and helping the ducks? - I'm a DU member. How do I sign up for Duck Fever?
Visit www.ducks.org/duckfever. If you are not logged in already, do so using your DU member login info. You’ll then be directed to step one of the Duck Fever signup process.

- What information do I need to supply to sign up?
Because your Duck Fever campaign will be linked to your DU membership, we need no additional personal information when you sign up for Duck Fever. However, we do encourage you to upload a photo of yourself and write a personal message about why you're raising money for DU—these elements will help make your Duck Fever campaign as effective as possible!

- Will signing up for Duck Fever affect my membership status?
No. Duck Fever is a way to get our members involved in DU’s fund-raising efforts and spread the word about our conservation mission to friends and family online. The amount that is donated to your Duck Fever campaign will be attached to your membership record for the purposes of recognizing those who meet their goal on the DU Web site.

- How much does it cost to sign up for Duck Fever?
It is absolutely free to take part in Duck Fever. As a current member, we recognize that you are already a regular contributor to DU, and we thank you for your continued generosity. While you may choose to make a donation to DU through your own Duck Fever campaign—or someone else's—there are no mandatory costs for Duck Fever participants.

- How long does signup take?
Signing up for Duck Fever is quick and easy. There are only four steps to get started. Simply (1) set a donation goal; (2) upload a photo of yourself for your donation page and add a personal message about why you're raising money for DU; (3) choose one of our attactive Duck Fever badges to display in your personal Web space and (4) post your badge online and start spread the word to your friends and family! - My friend wants to sign up too—where should he go?
The best place to start is www.ducks.org/duckfever. If your friend is a Ducks Unlimited member, he can start right away. If not, he'll need to click the "Join DU" button to become a member and participate in Duck Fever.

- I hate asking for money from my loved ones. How intrusive is Duck Fever?
The best thing about Duck Fever is that it’s totally personalized. If you’re comfortable asking every friend, family member and acquaintance for a donation, go for it. If not, simply posting a Duck Fever badge on your Facebook profile, on your MySpace page or in your e-mail signature is an understated, indirect way to raise money for DU. Just by having a presence online, you’ll be raising awareness. And, chances are, people will click on your badge, read your personal message about Duck Fever and choose to donate to DU on your behalf.

- I don't use Facebook or MySpace. Can I still participate in Duck Fever?
Of course! Duck Fever is for everyone from the occasional e-mail sender to the tech-savvy social networker—the one common thread is a passion for DU. Want to include your Duck Fever campaign in your e-mail signature? Read about e-mail & forum signatures. Have a blog or personal homepage with some open real estate? Find out how to add your Duck Fever badge to your blog. Or just copy and paste the address for your personal donation page (available on your Duck Fever Dashboard) and you're on your way! Virtually anywhere you go online, Duck Fever can go too.

All donations made to Duck Fever will be used to further DU's conservation mission and will be put toward our highest-priority projects and conservation efforts on the ground. The donations will come to DU in your name and those Duck Fever participants who reach their goal will be recognized on the DU Web site.

- What will I get for participating?
We want to recognize all of our Duck Fever participants who have achieved their fund-raising goals. We have created an online recognition wall where you name will appear once you've reached your goal.

- Do I have to choose a chapter when I sign up for Duck Fever?
No, this is strictly an optional step. If you are an active volunteer or have a preferred chapter in your hometown, you may wish to assign credit to that chapter.

- Can I go back and add a chapter later?
Yes. You can add a chapter at any time by going to your Duck Fever Dashboard on the DU Web site.

Yes. You can change your chapter at any time by going to your Duck Fever Dashboard on the DU Web site. Any donations made on your behalf will start going toward your new chapter immediately. All previous donations will be credited to the chapter you selected originally.

- Does the chapter have to be the same chapter I volunteer for?
No. You can choose any chapter you like, whether you're a volunteer in that chapter or not.

- Can I split credit among multiple chapters?
No. You may assign only one chapter at a time through this program. However, you can change that chapter any time you wish.
