- How does Duck Fever work with blogs?
Duck Fever is a perfect addition to any personal weblog. You can use your Duck Fever Dashboard to quickly and easily insert your badge into a single blog entry on several popular blogging sites, including WordPress, Blogger and LiveJournal. If you are a more advanced blogger, you may consider copying and pasting the code for your badge into your blog's sidebar or other permanent real estate. Doing so will mean each visitor sees your Duck Fever badge on a long-term basis. For more information about either of these methods, please see the following FAQs: How do I insert a badge in my blog entry? and What if I have an independently run blog or personal Web site?

- How do I insert a badge in my blog entry?
(Important: These instructions apply to blogs registered with WordPress, Blogger and LiveJournal only.) Simply click on the badge you want to display on the right side of your Duck Fever Dashboard. A window will open with several options for posting your badge on the Web. Click the proper blogging service and then provide your login information. Your badge will be inserted in a new entry. You may consider adding some text to your entry once it's live so that your readers have a better understanding what it means and why you're raising money for DU. Note: WordPress will delay the posting of your entry by approximately 5 hours, so you may not see your entry immediately. If you have additional questions about editing blog entries or working with your blog service, please contact their support team for more information.

- What if I have an independently run blog or personal Web site?
If your blogging service is not listed on the Duck Fever Dashboard or is independently owned and run, you will need to copy and paste the code for your Duck Fever badge into a blog entry or into a sidebar or other piece of open real estate within your site. Click on the badge you want to display in the Duck Fever Dashboard, then copy and paste the code at the bottom of the window. This code can be placed anywhere that accepts HTML.

- Some of my blog audience reads my blog through an RSS feed. Will they still be able to see my badge?
Most RSS feeds do not display images. Since your Duck Fever badge is an image, your RSS audience will see only a blank entry. To work around this, add accompanying text to the entry. Example: "I'm Raising $500 for Ducks Unlimited. Click here to help!" You will need to provide a link to your donation page within this text so that RSS readers can see it, click it and visit your page. You can find this link on your Duck Fever Dashboard under "My Public Donation Page."

- What if I want a more permanent location for my badge than just a single entry?
A great way to give a permanent home to your Duck Fever badge is to insert it in the sidebar, header or footer of your blog. Depending on the level of experience you have with your blog software, it may be a simple process. In all cases, you will need to start by clicking the badge you want to display in the Duck Fever Dashboard. Copy and paste the code at the bottom of the window. You will insert this code in the proper place within your blog to display it in a piece of open real estate on the page. Example: WordPress uses "Widgets" in its sidebars. Creating a "Text/RSS" Widget containing the code for your Duck Fever badge will allow you to display your badge with pride in a permanent capacity. If you have additional questions, about this process, check out our forthcoming Blogging Duck Fever guide or contact your blog software's support team or Help section.

- Will I have to update my badge each time I get a donation?
No. Duck Fever is great because it’s a real-time reflection of your donation amount—and you never have to do a thing! When you receive a donation, your goal meter will rise on all of your Duck Fever badges, anywhere on the Web.
