There are many ways to support Ducks Unlimited, each expressive of the donor's particular interests and each with distinct tax advantages. Outright gifts provide immediate, current support of DU. Deferred gifts can include bequest provisions, retirement account designations and life insurance. A variety of tangible assets may also be appropriate for charitable gift purposes.
The tax benefits of making a charitable gift can be substantial. Careful tax planning and structuring can actually decrease one's cost while increasing support for DU. Members of DU's Development staff are available to work with donors and their advisers to achieve these mutual goals. Please contact Kathy McCollum at email@example.com, 901.758.3710 or 1.800.856.6014. If you're ready to make a Major Sponsor commitment now, download the commitment form (PDF), fill it out and mail it to us.
Gifts may be made in any of the following ways:
Gifts of Cash
Maximize your charitable deduction and provide funds for conservation immediately. Personal checks and all credit cards accepted. Cash contributions may be made as lump sums or as annual payments. A variety of payment plans are also available. An annual reminder will be sent as a convenience in the month prior to the anniversary of your pledge. Visit our Giving Levels page for more details.
You choose the amount that fits your budget, sign up online, and we do the rest. Monthly giving eliminates many overhead costs and allows us to direct more to habitat initiatives.
Attend a DU Dinner
Attend a local event and have a terrific time with friends and fellow DU members in your community.
Please contact the Development Office for specific instructions for wire transfers.
Over 500 companies and corporate foundations currently match their employees' gifts to Ducks Unlimited. Under a corporate matching gift program, gifts made by a company's eligible employees to the nonprofit organizations that meet the company's guidelines are matched with company or corporate foundation funds. If you are affiliated with a company that matches contributions to conservation, you may be eligible to have your gift to Ducks Unlimited doubled or tripled. Check out our matching gifts partners to see if your employer's on the list!
IRA Charitable Rollover
If you are 70 1/2 or older, you can make a charitable gift to DU through your annual required minimun distribution. Please contact the Development Office for specific instructions.
