Altamaha:

Location:    Altamaha Waterfowl Management Area, McIntosh County, Darien, GA.

From Darien: Take US Hwy 17 South 1.5 miles; Check Station is on the right.                         
 

Ansley-Hodges Memorial Project:

Location:    Altamaha Waterfowl Management Area, McIntosh County, Darien, GA.

From Darien: Take US Hwy 17 South 1.5 miles; Check Station is on the right.  Pass the Check Station and turn right at sign for Nature Trail on Champney Island.  Parking and observation tower overlooking the impoundment are on the left.                

Arrowhead Hatchery:

Location:    Region I Headquarters, Floyd County, Armuchee, GA

From Rome: Take US Hwy 27 north 9 miles to GA Hwy 156, turn right (east) and go 2.3 miles to Floyd Springs Rd, turn left and go 2 miles to the area.  Turn right at main entrance.  Impoundment pools are behind the office complex.

Blanton Creek - Corporal Mark Prevatt:

Location:    Blanton Creek Wildlife Management Area, Harris County, near Columbus, GA

From West Point: Take Hwy 103 south 10 miles to mile marker 6, turn right to Check Station.

 
B.F. Grant (Phase I and II):

Location:    B.F. Grant Wildlife Management Area, Putnam County, Eatonton, GA

From Eatonton: Take Hwy 16 west 0.7 miles, turn right on Hwy 441 Bypass, go 1.5 miles to Godfrey Rd., turn left and go 6 miles to Check Station.

 
Bullard Creek Wildlife Management Area:

Location:    Bullard Creek Wildlife Management Area, Appling and Jeff Davis Counties, near Hazlehurst, GA.

From Hazelhurst: Take US Hwy 221 north 7 miles, turn left at entrance sign to Check Station.
 

Butler Island Refuge:

Location:    Altamaha Waterfowl Management Area, McIntosh County, Darien, GA.

From Darien: Take US Hwy 17 South 1.5 miles, Check Station is on the right.  Butler Island Refuge Impoundments and Observation Tower are on the left directly across from the Check Station.

 
Carter’s Lake:

Location:    Coosawattee Wildlife Management Area, Murray County, Carters, GA

From Cartersville: Take US Hwy 411 north through Fairmount and Oakman to GA Hwy 136, (approx 25-30 miles), turn right on Hwy 136, Project is on northeast side of Hwy 136 at intersection with road to Corps of Engineers offices.

 
Clarks Hill:

Location:    Clarks Hill Wildlife Management Area, McDuffie County, Thomson, GA

From Thomson: Take US Hwy 78 north 10 miles, turn right on Smith Mill Rd. at WMA sign, go 2.5 miles to Check Station.  Project consists of goose grazing pastures on various points along the edge of the Clarks Hill lake.

Cordele Fish Hatchery:

Location:    Approx. 2 miles west of Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia
 

Crockford-Pigeon Mountain:

Location:    Crockford-Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management Area, Walker County, LaFayette, GA

From Lafayette: Take Hwy 193 West 2.7 miles to Chamberlain Rd, turn left and go 3 miles to

Rocky Lane Rd., turn right and go 0.3 miles to Check Station.

 
Cypress Creek:

Location:    Mayhaw Wildlife Management Area, Miller County, Colquitt, GA

From Colquitt: Take US Hwy 27 north to first paved road, turn left and go 1 mile to entrance and Check Station.

 
Dixon Memorial:

Location:    Laura Walker State Park, Ware County, Waycross GA

From Waycross: Take US Hwy 1 south 6 miles to Hwy 177, turn north and follow signs to Check Station.

 
Dyar Pasture:

Location:    Redlands Wildlife Management Area, Oconee National Forest, Greene County,

Greensboro, GA

From Greensboro: Take GA Hwy 15 north for 9 miles, Check Station on the left.

 
Eufaula NWR:

Location:    Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge on the northern end of Lake Eufaula in Stewart County, Ga.

From Georgetown: Take GA Hwy 39 North to the NWR sign and entrance on the left. 


Evans County Public Fishing Area:

Location:    Evans County PFA, Evans County, near Claxton, GA.

From Claxton: Take US Hwy 280 east for 8.5 miles, turn right on Old Reidsville-Savannah Rd., go 1 mile and turn left on Old Sunbury Rd., go 0.3 miles to entrance on right.  Waterfowl impoundment is the 30-acre impoundment upstream of the 84-acre fishing lake.

 
Fishing Creek:

Location:    Fishing Creek Wildlife Management Area, Lincoln and Wilkes Counties,

Midway, GA

From Lincolnton: Take Hwy 79 eight miles to Midway Church Rd., turn left and go 1.5 miles to sign on right.

 
Glovers Creek:

Location:    West Point Wildlife Management Area, Troup County, LaGrange, GA

From LaGrange: Take GA Hwy 219 north 0.5 miles past the Chattahoochee River bridge, turn right on Old Whitley Rd., follow signs to Check Station and information kiosk.

 
Grand Bay (Phase I, II, and III):

Location:    Grand Bay Wildlife Management Area, Lanier and Lowndes Counties,

Valdosta, GA

From Valdosta: Take US Hwy 221 north 8 miles, turn left on Knights Academy Rd., go 1.5 miles to entrance on right, follow signs to Check Station.

 
Harris Neck:

Location:    Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge in McIntosh County, Ga.

From Savannah: Take I-95 south to exit 67, turn left (south) on Hwy 17 and proceed to Hwy 131 intersection, turn left on Hwy 131 and proceed to the area.

 
Horse Creek:

Location:    Horse Creek Wildlife Management Area, Telfair County, Jacksonville, GA

From Jacksonville: Take Hwy 117 east for 6 miles, turn right at WMA sign, then turn right at information board, follow road to Check Station.

 
Joe Kurz:

Location:    Joe Kurz Wildlife Management Area, Meriwether County, Gay, GA

From Woodbury: Take Hwy 85 north for 7.5 miles to Gay, turn right at red light, Check Station is 2.7 miles on left.  To reach the project, stay on paved road and pass the Check Station, then cross the bridge over White Oak Creek, Sign and parking area are on the left, dirt road leads to waterfowl impoundment.

 
Morris Creek:

Location:    Fishing Creek Wildlife Management Area, Wilkes County, Washington, GA

From Washington: Take Hwy 44 east 12.8 miles to O’Hara-Standard Rd., turn right, at end of road turn left on Jones Chapel and continue to area.

 
Oconee:

Location:    Oconee Wildlife Management Area, Putnam and Hancock Counties, near

Eatonton, GA

From Eatonton: Take Hwy 16 east 14.7 miles to Oconee River, Waterfowl Area, signs, and parking are on the left side of the road (west side of the river).

 
Oxbow Meadows:

Location:    Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center, Muscogee County,

Columbus, GA.

From Columbus: Take I-185 South to US Hwy 280/27, turn right (west) on 280/27 to South Lumpkin Rd., turn left (south) on South Lumpkin Rd. and proceed until you reach Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center on the right.


Penholoway Swamp:

Location: Wayne County, Georgia


Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge:

Location:    Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge, Jones County, Round Oak, GA.

From Gray: Take Hwy 11 north to Round Oak, turn left on Juliette Rd., Follow signs to the NWR Headquarters and Visitor’s Center.

 
Rhett’s Island Renovation:

Location:    Altamaha Wildlife Management Area, McIntosh County near Darien, Ga. 

From Darien: Take US Hwy 17 South 1.5 miles, Check Station is on the right.  Rhetts Island is accessible only by boat, either down the Darien River from the city of Darien, or down the Altamaha River from the boat ramp at Champney Island, south of the Check Station on the left (east) side of the road.               

 
Riverbend:

Location:    Riverbend Wildlife Management Area along Oconee River in Laurens

County, Ga.

From Dublin: Take I-16 east to Hwy 199, exit I-16 and turn right (south) on Hwy 199 for 0.3 miles, Check Station is on the right.

 
Rum Creek:

Location:    Rum Creek Wildlife Management Area, Monroe County, GA

From Forsyth: Take Hwy 18 east 7 miles to Check Station.  Project is located on Juliette Rd. east of Forsyth.

 
Savannah National Wildlife Refuge:

Location:    Savannah NWR, Chatham County, Savannah, GA.

From Savannah: Take I-95 north from I-95/I-16 Junction to Hwy 21/30, go south on Hwy 21/30 towards Port Wentworth, turn left on Hwy 30 into Port Wentworth, turn left on Hwy 25 North across Savannah River to Wildlife Drive around waterfowl impoundments.  Projects are located on the Solomon Tract of the NWR.

Silver Lake:

Location: Approximately 10 miles southwest of Bainbridge in Decatur County, Georgia. Silver Lake WMA is located adjacent to Lake Seminole, a well-known waterfowl area in the southwestern potion of Georgia and Florida, and the Lake Seminole WMA.

West Point:

Location:    West Point Wildlife Management Area, Troup County, LaGrange, GA

From LaGrange: Take GA Hwy 219 north 0.5 miles past the Chattahoochee River bridge, turn right on Old Whitley Rd., follow signs to Check Station and information kiosk.  Project consists of goose grazing pastures on various points along the edge of Lake West Point.
