With its first 75 years in the rearview mirror, Ducks Unlimited is looking forward to its next 75. The first big junction on the map will be Portland, Oregon, the site of DU's 76th Annual National Convention, which will be held May 22–26, 2013. The city nicknamed Bridgetown promises to help DU build a bridge to an even brighter future, as members and volunteers gather to usher in a new era in wetlands conservation.
Portland also promises to offer convention goers a unique opportunity to experience the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Attendees will be treated to a variety of exciting activities
, including another amazing live auction. This Saturday-night gala will feature a complete line of Leupold Optics valued at over $5,000, a hand-carved decoy collection from Bill Powell of False Cape Gunning Decoys, a Costa Rica billfishing excursion for four, and many other outstanding auction items. Adventure seekers can tour Mount St. Helens or chase spring chinook salmon on the Willamette River. Those with a thirst for local culture can tour Oregon's renowned wine country and sample wines from three of Yamhill County's finest vineyards.
