Memphis, Tenn. - September 6, 2017 - Russ Hawley was named Ducks Unlimited's (DU) Regional Director of the Year for his outstanding efforts as a staff member of Region 8, an area that encompasses Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas.

 

"Russ is and will continue to be a critical team member in Ducks Unlimited with his leadership and passion for what he does," said Scott Grant, DU director of fundraising and volunteer relations. "He inspires his volunteers to always do better. Russ has been the recipient of the Region 8 for the second year in a row."

 

Hawley, a resident of Midlothian, Texas, covers north Texas and works with volunteer committees in this area hosting fundraisers for the 80-year-old conservation organization. Hawley also received awards for Budget Income - Total Revenue Raised, $100,000 Growth Club/Regional Income, Sustained Growth and Million Dollar Club - an award given to event fundraising staff who raise $1 million or more.
