As part of Ducks Unlimited's 75th anniversary celebrations, Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal invited a group of DU staff and volunteers to the capitol to receive a formal proclamation recognizing the importance of DU's work in Georgia.

The group of more than 20 DU representatives met outside the capitol building and then was ushered into the governor's office. Gov. Deal presented the group with his proclamation and DU volunteer Bill Bennett presented the governor with a DU Challenge Coin.

"It was a great experience," said DU Director of Development Shawn Battison. "We know how important Ducks Unlimited's work is, and it's encouraging to have public recognition of that significance from Governor Deal."
