The Conservation Programs Committee held their February meeting in Washington, D.C., and the timing ended up being perfect.

CPC members met with legislators to ask for their support on Ducks Unlimited’s policy priorities, including increasing the price of the federal duck stamp. Some members were able to meet with their senators just hours before the Senate took its final vote passing the 2014 Farm Bill.

Later in the week, the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee reported out bills to reauthorize the North American Wetlands Conservation Act and raise the price of the duck stamp. Contacting your members of Congress really does make a difference!
