FY 2011 NAWCA Supporters

Congress is currently discussing the appropriations for the 2011 fiscal year, including the North American Wetlands Conservation Act. The president recommended a cut to the program, so it is critical that Ducks Unlimited members and supporters contact their members of Congress to urge them to support funding NAWCA at the highest funding level practical.

This is a very difficult budget year, with many lawmakers looking to cut spending. However, NAWCA's unique 1:1 federal dollar to matching dollar requirement doubles every dollar invested by the federal government puts into the program. And because NAWCA is so popular and effective, projects often have $2-3 per federal dollar, potentially tripling or quadrupling the federal investment.
