How You Can Help

With the pilot study now complete, our attention shifts to implementation of the full-scale study. Research partners have estimated that this 2-year full-scale study will cost approximately $425,000 to fully implement. Ducks Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited private donors, and other research partners including the Gulf Coast Joint Venture, Louisiana Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and US Fish and Wildlife Service have thus far contributed over $295,000 to fund the full-scale study. However, we remain approximately $130,000 shy of fully funding this important study

Similar to the pilot study, individuals and corporations contributing funds to the full-scale study will be given the naming rights of 1 female gadwall for every $2,500 donation. Sponsored female gadwalls will be tracked weekly throughout the study on DU's gadwall project web site.

Individuals or corporations wishing to become a sponsor of this research, or otherwise learn more about the project, should contact either Chad Manlove (cmanlove@ducks.org; 601-206-5442) or Mike Brasher (mbrasher@ducks.org; 337-266-8805). As with any donation to Ducks Unlimited, your contributions to this project are tax deductible.
