Durfee Hill and Buck Hill WMA Rhode Island Ducks Unlimited continues to work with Rhode Island Division of Wildlife on two projects that were scheduled for completion in 1999 but have been held up due to permitting issues. Both projects consist of replacement of old deteriorated water control structures. The Durfee Hill project will restore 16 acres of impounded wetlands and the Buck Hill project will restore 31 acres of wetlands developed for waterfowl. Both of these projects are scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2001.
