Saturday May 17th

The day begins by taking a tour of a piece of the prairie that is a part of Dakota Feild School and hosted by Todd Boonstra. A bus will leave the Gladstone Inn lobby at 8:00 am and will be back by 11:30 am.  It will be an informative trip and you will learn the importance of prairie and wetlands. You will also learn the diversity of plants and animals that rely on the prairie for survival.

Lunch will be on your own.  Following lunch at 12:30 pm, we'll play a game that was tested in Medina in April. The DU version of Deal or No Deal will be played. This is an action packed fun time in which you may have a chance to win some very nice prizes such as guns, decoys, and more. Or you could win a spent shotshell too. Hosted by North Dakota's Regional Director Jeff Essler. You would be silly not to play. (Not responsible for broken ribs or sore throats.) This fun game will be over at about 2:00 pm.  This will give you enough time to take some time to freshen up and prepare for a wine tasting tour over at the Cork and Bottle Liquor shop. Over 1000 kinds of wine and many ales and beers available too. Bus will provide transportation to and from the Gladstone Inn. This is over when it's over.

Registration for the evening will begin at 4:00 pm.  The doors for the 70/70 party will open at 6:00 pm.  The cost to attend this party sponsored by Coors distributors of ND is only $25 per person. This is open to all that want to share the evening with others that are in the prize give-away. There will be many raffles, live auction conducted by Florian Schnaible from Kulm, and of course we find out who is the big prize winner this year.  You get one last chance to win the 70th certificate during this event too, so even if you were not lucky enough yet, you can still get in on the grand prize that night!!!  This event should end about 10:30 pm

The Goose Pit opens after this grand annual event.

Sunday the 18th concludes the convention weekend with the DU Fun Shoot. Registration starts at noon and shotgun start by 1:00 pm. This consists of a very fun format of sporting clays at Capital City Sporting Clays. You can find it by taking exit 170 north about 3 miles and then west about 2 miles.  Cost for this event is $60 per person. By breaking all 50 targets you will win yourself a nice shotgun.  Other prizes and silent auction are available.  Other prizes available too.  Get your chapter a team of 5 to compete with other ND chapters.  A meal is served following the shoot. Awards for top shooters.  This should be done by 4:00 pm.
