REGISTRATION & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the ATV Poker Run riding event sponsored by Western York County Ducks Unlimited (hereinafter WYCDU), as well as any related events and activities, and intending to be legally bound, the undersigned:

1. Agrees that, prior to participating, he/she will inspect the facilities and equipment to be used, and if he/she believes anything is unsafe, he/she will immediately advise WYCDU of such conditions and refuse to participate.

2. Acknowledges and fully understands that each participant will be engaging in activities that involve risk of serious injury, including permanent disability and death, and severe social economic losses which might result from his/her own actions, inactions, or negligence of others, the rules of participation, or the condition of the premises or any equipment used.  Further that there may be other risks not known to us or not reasonably foreseeable at this time.  Participant understand these risks and further understands that he/she is riding at his/her own risk.

3. Assumes all the foregoing risks and accepts personal responsibility for  the damages following such injury, permanent disability or death.

4. Holds harmless, releases, waives, discharges and covenants not to sue WYCDU, its affiliate clubs, their respective administrators, directors, agents, employees or volunteers of the organization, as well as other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event, all of who are hereinafter referred to as "Releasees" from demand, losses or damages on account of injury, including death or damage to property, caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.

5. Agrees to abide by, acknowledges his/her familiarity with and understands all aspects, abilities, safety precautions, limitations, and operation of ATV they will be riding.  ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR HELMETS.

6.  Agrees to abide by and be familiar with any rules and regulations for this event whether written, posted, or verbal:

     a.  All riders must have read and sign a Registration & Release of Liability form. All riders must sign a waiver.

     b. All riders must stay on the trail and follow signs.

    c. If you need to stop along the trail, pull off  only as far as necessary to avoid becoming a hazard.

    d. This is not a speed event it is a poker run.  Speed limit is 15 MPH on all trails.  Follow the flow of traffic and stay to right.

    e, Failure to follow these rules and/or committee instructions could lead to removal from the riding event.

    f. Riders under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult for the entire ride.  Riders under 18 years of age must have a parent or 

       guardian sign the release form.

7. NO ALCOHOL ON THE COURSE. 

THE UNDERSIGNED HAS READ THE ABOVE WAIVER AND RELEASE, UNDERSTANDING THAT HE/SHE HAS GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGNS IT VOLUNTARILY.
