Why does the contract read “Greenhouse Gas Rights and Credits” and not “Carbon Credits?" 

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the most important greenhouse gas that will not be emitted when your land stays in grass.  However, emissions of other greenhouse gases like methane and nitrous oxide are also avoided when traditional cropping does not occur.  We acknowledge the avoided release of all of these greenhouse gases by the term “Greenhouse Gas Credits and Rights”.
